The essentials
- Website deposits are nonrefundable. If you choose not to continue with the website, you do not owe the remaining website-build balance.
- Cancel Website Care online, without a call or staff approval. Future payments stop immediately. Your service continues through the current service month, measured from your billing date.
- Yearly Website Care payments receive an automatic refund for unused full service months. We start it within five business days.
- Website Care is NewGen’s only optional subscription. You pay domain, hosting, Workers, and other providers directly. Canceling Care does not start another subscription. Billing mistakes, services we fail to provide, and your legal rights are handled separately below.
Your build and Website Care
Creating your initial website is a separate purchase. Optional Website Care is $29/month or $299/year per website, covering maintenance and normal content updates to existing pages. Paying yearly saves $49 compared with twelve monthly payments. Domain registration, renewals, hosting, Cloudflare Workers, and other provider charges are not included. Your proposal names the website, payer, start date, and billing choice before payment. Earlier accepted plans keep their recorded prices and agreed rights.
Prices include any applicable sales tax. The total you approve is the amount you pay; checkout does not add a tax surcharge. Your invoice or receipt identifies any included tax within that same total. You pay domain, hosting, and other provider charges directly in your own accounts. There is no NewGen cancellation, refund-processing, or card-processing fee.
If your account has several websites, cancellation and refunds apply only to the website and service you select. Each Website Care plan has its own billing dates and annual refund calculation. Other websites and services you pay for directly keep their own terms.
Website builds
You pay a nonrefundable 50% deposit before work begins. The deposit counts toward your project total. If you continue with the website, you pay the remaining 50% after you approve the completed work and before we make it public and give you the final website files. For a $795 Launch website, these payments are $397.50 each; for a $1,495 Business website, they are $747.50 each. A Custom website uses its agreed project total. Any applicable sales tax is included in these payments and shown on your receipt.
If you are unhappy with the website or want to go in another direction, you may cancel. Your deposit is not refunded, and you do not owe the remaining website-build balance. The deposit is nonrefundable even if work has not started. We do not add a charge for completed build work or a cancellation fee to replace the remaining balance.
You may cancel by emailing contact@newgenwebdesign.com. We stop work when we receive your request. The cancelled website is not launched, and unpaid website files are not handed over. Any remaining website-build invoice is cancelled. Separate subscriptions and purchases from other companies follow their own agreed terms below; we do not relabel website-build costs as separate purchases to charge you the balance.
For example, a $795 Launch website has a $397.50 deposit and a $397.50 remaining balance. If you choose not to continue, NewGen keeps the $397.50 deposit and you do not pay the other $397.50. The website is not launched or handed over.
This cancellation policy does not excuse billing mistakes or work we fail to provide, or remove any refund required by law. If we cannot complete the agreed work, we explain the situation and offer an appropriate correction or refund for the work we cannot provide. We do not charge you for unusable work that fails to meet our agreement. Our existing 30-day correction period after launch covers errors in the agreed work; it does not include new features, new content, or changes made by someone else. This correction period does not limit other rights you may have. We honor the terms of agreements already accepted before this policy took effect.
What Website Care covers
Care covers maintenance and normal content updates to existing pages: words, photos, hours, prices, links, and the checks and publishing those updates need. New pages, substantial layout changes, redesigns, custom features, and integrations are separately quoted before approval. We agree on priorities and delivery dates.
The plan also covers automatic offline alerts, monthly website-software and contact-form checks, saved copies, and restoration checks every three months. Alerts do not promise round-the-clock human support.
You provide accurate business details, approvals, rights to supplied materials, and needed access. You own your Cloudflare account and invite NewGen as an Administrator. Domain registration, renewals, hosting, Workers, email, storage, and other provider charges are paid directly by you. We explain any required paid services before setup. New setup or integration work is quoted separately. Maintenance of existing agreed website functionality is included.
Each separately maintained website has its own plan. A main address and its www version count as one site; additional addresses that point to the same site do not create another plan. Three websites cost $87/month or $897/year before approved outside costs.
Your subscription pays for ongoing service, not stored credit. A month without requests does not create a refund. Work we agree to while your Care coverage is active remains owed without another paid month, even when its delivery date is after cancellation. If we or a provider delay that work, you do not have to pay for another month to receive it. If we cannot provide it, we agree on an appropriate correction or refund. New requests after service ends need a new agreement.
Renewal, service months, and payment
Each selected service renews monthly or yearly as shown in the accepted proposal and checkout, until cancelled. The first charge and actual start date are stated before payment; paying a website-build deposit does not start a subscription. Website Care is one subscription for the named website. Approved outside purchases are recorded separately.
A service month runs from your original billing day to the same day in the next month. It does not always start on the first of a calendar month. If that day does not exist, we use the month's final day, then return to the original day when possible: for example, January 31, February 28, then March 31. Before yearly billing, we confirm the year's start and end dates and the twelve service-month dates. Your cancellation confirmation gives the exact service end date and time in your local time. A service month is not always thirty days.
Cancel whenever you need
You can cancel your selected service online through Manage payments without a phone call, explanation, or staff approval. Cancelling through the secure Stripe payment page stops future subscription payments immediately. NewGen confirms the website, service, final service date, and any refund. We use the time you requested cancellation even if we or a payment system finish processing it later. You do not need to ask separately for a refund or discuss your reasons for leaving.
Coverage continues until the end of the current service month. For a yearly payment, this is the next monthly service date, not the end of the prepaid year. You may separately request that Care service stop immediately; the refund still excludes the current month already begun. The payment portal cancellation does not itself take the website offline or delete its files. We handle billing errors, services we fail to provide, and refunds required by law separately below.
Cancellation ends Website Care maintenance and normal content updates at the current service-month end. Canceling Care does not start another subscription. Your provider accounts and payments remain under your control. Other websites are unaffected. We coordinate access and handoff without delaying cancellation or refunds or adding another renewal. Cancelling billing does not itself take your website offline or delete website files, your domain, or an account. Your paid-for website and domain remain yours; accepted work remains owed.
Monthly payments
If you cancel a service we have made available as agreed, the current month remains paid. There is no partial refund because you made no requests or left early. Cancel before the next renewal to stop future payments. Unused requests do not become credit for future work.
A payment collected after a timely cancellation is corrected. If service never starts, we refund the Care payment in full. Separately approved outside-provider purchases follow their own stated refund terms; we do not deduct NewGen website work or provider charges from that Care refund. The same protections apply to monthly and yearly Care payments. Website project deposits follow the separate nonrefundable deposit terms above.
Yearly payments: refund unused full service months
Cancel any time. Keep service through your current service month, and receive a refund for every remaining full service month in that paid year. There is no cancellation fee, processing-fee deduction, or requirement to contact us again for the refund.
If you choose to cancel, your service refund is:
Annual service amount actually paid × number of unused full service months ÷ 12.
We use the total service amount actually paid after discounts, including any sales tax within that price. Your refund includes the same share of that included tax; it is not added again. If an older invoice charged tax separately, we also refund the corresponding tax from that original invoice. We do not first round the monthly share or charge a higher monthly rate for months already used. We round only the final refund to the nearest cent and account for any earlier refund or credit for the same future service so it is not paid twice. We do not take back discounts on months already used.
| Annual payment | When you cancel / unused months | Refund |
|---|---|---|
| $299 Website Care | During month 6 / six months | $149.50 |
| $299 Website Care | During month 12 / none | $0 |
| $1,000 example custom annual payment | During month 6 / six months | $500 |
The month already underway remains paid even if you stop using the service immediately. If we receive your cancellation at the exact start of a new service month, that month counts as unused and service ends then. Processing delays do not cost you another month. If you cancel before or at the start of service, we use the refund rules for a service that never began, described above. If you choose to keep service longer after cancelling, we record that separate choice and explain its effect on the refund before making the change.
We start a routine yearly service refund to the original payment method within five business days of receiving cancellation, automatically, without waiting for the current month to finish or asking for another request. We confirm the amount and refund reference number. Your bank or payment provider may need more time to process it. If a payment or refund is still processing or is disputed, we explain the issue promptly, preserve the refund you are owed and the time you cancelled, and avoid collecting or returning the same payment twice.
Your yearly Website Care refund covers unused full months of the Care fee. We do not add a labor fee or a fee for leaving. Payments you make directly to outside providers follow their own refund terms and are not deducted from your Care refund. If you move an earlier subscription to a new arrangement, we honor its accepted refund rights. We do not apply a new policy that reduces rights you already agreed to.
Refunds for problems remain available
The rule that keeps the current month paid does not cover duplicate, incorrect, or unauthorized charges, charges after timely cancellation, failure to provide agreed services, or legally required refunds. We do not use it to excuse promised work or availability we failed to supply. These subscription rules do not change the separate nonrefundable deposit and website-project cancellation terms above.
Your website address and provider payments
You own your domain and Cloudflare account, retain Super Administrator access, recovery, and billing control, and invite NewGen as an Administrator. You register and renew your domain through your own registrar account and pay that provider directly. Hosting, Workers, email, storage, and other provider services are also paid directly by you.
Website Care does not cover these charges. NewGen does not sell a separate domain or hosting subscription. Canceling Care does not start another subscription, cancel your provider accounts, or change your responsibility for their payments. Your paid registration, website files, and ownership remain yours. We coordinate access and handoff without delaying Care cancellation or refunds.
Each provider sets its own prices, renewal dates, cancellation rules, and refund terms. Manage those payments directly with the provider. Keep your payment method and renewal settings current; an expired domain or unpaid hosting plan can interrupt your website and business email. We explain required paid services and estimated costs before setup. New website development is separately quoted before approval.
We honor accepted refund rights for any earlier arrangement. An approved outside purchase we have not yet made is refunded, and we return any registrar refund or unused provider funds we recover for you without duplicating an earlier credit. We do not deduct those amounts from the Website Care refund or treat them as a website-build deposit.
Billing errors, service problems, and refund handling
Contact contact@newgenwebdesign.com with your business name, invoice number if available, and what happened. Do not email card or bank details. Online cancellation remains available without emailing us.
We investigate duplicate, incorrect, unauthorized, or post-cancellation charges and correct payments taken in error. If we fail to provide the agreed service, we discuss an appropriate correction or partial or full refund. If we end a service for our own business reasons before its paid period ends, we refund all paid service we will not provide: every remaining full annual service month plus the unused portion of the current month. For a yearly payment, we value each full month at one-twelfth of the yearly price you paid. For the current month, we calculate the unused share using the number of days in that month. For monthly payments, we use the monthly price you paid and the unused share of that month. We include the corresponding share of any included sales tax in that refund and arrange to give you your website files and access. These refunds still apply even if you made no requests. Your rights under the law and your payment provider's terms also remain.
We start routine yearly Website Care refunds within five business days of cancellation, without a separate request or staff approval. For other billing problems, we aim to acknowledge your request within two business days and explain our decision and calculation within five business days after receiving the information reasonably needed. If investigation takes longer, we explain why and give an update date. We submit approved refunds within five business days of the decision, or sooner if required by law. Your bank controls when the funds appear.
Refunds return through the original payment method where supported. We confirm them in writing, show any included sales tax being refunded, and provide any required invoice adjustment document (credit note). Any tax charged separately on a previous or documented custom invoice is refunded as appropriate too. NewGen absorbs its processing costs rather than deducting them from the approved refund.
Renewal reminders and price changes
We send a written reminder 30 days before each yearly renewal. For monthly services, we also send a reminder 30 days before the renewal that takes you into another year of service. It identifies the service, amount, date, and how to cancel. Additional payment reminders may also be sent.
We explain a proposed price increase at least 30 days ahead and obtain your agreement before charging more. We do not change the price of a period already paid for. We give advance written notice of other significant changes, including how to cancel. We do not treat silence as approval for a higher charge. If we cannot agree on future service, we explain when it will end and how to move your website.
Failed payments and moving your website
If an existing service's renewal payment fails, we notify you and allow at least 14 calendar days from that notice to resolve it before ending the affected ongoing service, unless security or law requires earlier action. New optional work can pause while payment is overdue. A successful retry pays the original invoice without creating another charge. If the payment remains unpaid, we stop trying to collect it, end that service, and cancel the unpaid renewal invoice. We cover the cost of service during the time we gave you to resolve the payment. Separate project payments and approved purchases follow their own terms above, including no remaining website-build balance if you choose not to continue. A new service does not begin if its first payment fails.
Website Care is one plan. We explain any interruption affecting maintenance or normal content updates and do not keep charging for service we cannot provide.
Your completed paid-for files and domain remain yours. We provide the files, agreed account access, and renewal information promptly, normally within five business days of your request. Your hosting and domain remain in your own provider accounts. Licenses for fonts, software, and other materials, providers' transfer rules, and required identity checks still apply. Giving you the agreed files and account access has no cancellation fee. Ordinary files and account-access handover is included. Development to rebuild or adapt the website for another platform requires a separate quote. New requests after Care ends need a new agreement; outside-provider fees still require approval. A delay in arranging the move cannot create another automatic renewal.
